Alex Reed’s fictional renewal assessment showing 18 of 25 CPD hours and missing indemnity evidence
The interactive renewal demo uses fictional members and a fictional CPD policy.

01 / APPLY YOUR BODY’S REQUIREMENTS

Make the rule and the evidence period explicit.

A total of 25 hours only means something alongside the policy that requires it. Your body decides the required amount, which evidence counts, the applicable period and whether an exception is permitted. VeritableRoll brings those requirements into the member’s renewal assessment.

CPD can sit alongside payment status, a declaration and other permitted eligibility references. The reviewer can see each result separately, with an explanation of what is met, missing, unmet or excepted.

VeritableRoll works with structured CPD totals and evidence references. Use your existing learning or activity system as the detailed source; the current product is not an individual activity diary, course library or document repository.

02 / TRY AN INCOMPLETE CASE

18 hours recorded. 25 required. A visible next step.

Our fictional member Alex Reed has 18 eligible hours against a 25-hour requirement, a paid subscription and no indemnity reference. The initial assessment identifies the seven-hour shortfall and missing cover.

  1. Add the sample cover reference and see that requirement change.
  2. Add qualifying CPD evidence, or record an exception allowed by the fictional policy.
  3. Return to the initial assessment to compare what was known before the change.

An exception keeps the actual 18-hour total visible. It records who accepted the shortfall and why; it does not rewrite the total as 25 hours. Try Alex’s case without signing up →

03 / REVIEW AND EXPLAIN

Give the decision a history.

A late record can change an assessment. It should not erase what an earlier reviewer saw. Keep the source identity, policy version, facts and permitted exceptions with the assessed case, including when evidence applies and when it was recorded.

In the private workspace, local staff can prepare a submission for a separate central reviewer. Approval and membership issuance are explicit steps after assessment. A missing requirement remains visible until qualifying evidence or an authorised exception resolves it.

Read the worked CPD renewal guide for evidence periods, exception handling and an exported decision record.

Test the cases your team finds difficult.

Use the 14-day trial to evaluate a straightforward pass, missing evidence, an insufficient total, an out-of-period reference and an allowed exception. Have a colleague review the results without your explanation beside them.

Then check how CPD fits into the wider association register and branch approval process. Agree the authoritative source for detailed learning records and the permitted fields that enter VeritableRoll.

Starter is £39/month plus applicable VAT for up to 500 members and 1 branch. Larger plans include additional member and branch capacity. No card is required for the trial and there is no automatic charge. Your professional body retains responsibility for its requirements and professional decisions.

Questions before you start

Is this a personal CPD diary or a learning management system?

It is the membership assessment and review workflow for CPD totals and references. Individual learning activities, course delivery and unrestricted document storage remain in your source system.

Can different membership grades have different requirements?

The assessment applies the configured policy for the case. Define the applicable grade, period, required totals and permitted exceptions before evaluating the register.

Does meeting CPD requirements automatically renew membership?

No. CPD is one part of the configured assessment. Other requirements may still need attention, and staff review, approval and issuance remain separate steps.
