THE MEMBERSHIP OPERATIONS FIELD GUIDE

Compare membership software costs.

Compare the subscription, the records it covers and the fees around it. A lower headline price is useful only when the service fits your renewal work.

Published prices at useful membership sizes

Checked on 7 October 2026. We publish VeritableRoll, so this is a supplier-authored comparison. Prices below come from the vendors’ own pages; they are not a feature-equivalence score or negotiated quote.

Sources: VeritableRoll plans, White Fuse’s live pricing calculator, membermojo pricing. membermojo’s largest listed tier is 10,000 members at £635/year; the table does not assume a 15,000-member price.

Join It lists 250-member starting plans at US$29/month (Starter), US$99/month (Total) and US$199/month (Extra). Its price changes with member capacity, so these are not quotes for 2,000 members. It lists service fees of 3%, 2% and 1.5% respectively, alongside separate Stripe processing fees. Check the selected capacity and currency in Join It’s pricing calculator.

VeritableRoll’s annual prices are £990, £1,490 and £2,490 plus applicable VAT: ten monthly payments billed annually. Above 15,000 member records or 30 branches, request an agreed capacity and price.

Calculate the cost around the subscription

For a useful first-year budget, add the software subscription, platform transaction fees, payment processing, migration or setup, required add-ons and any applicable tax. Keep your staff’s migration time visible too, even when the supplier has no setup charge.

White Fuse lists a 1% card-transaction fee in addition to Stripe fees, and says there is no setup fee. membermojo says it adds no transaction fee of its own. Join It advertises free member imports. Those statements do not remove separate processing charges or the work of cleaning the source records. Sources: White Fuse pricing, White Fuse FAQs, membermojo pricing and Join It pricing.

Compare the job you need to complete

For straightforward member lists and fee collection, membermojo’s published price is substantially lower. For a branched organisation checking CPD and other requirements before renewal, test how each product handles the complete case as well as the fee.

Questions to put to every supplier
AreaAsk for a concrete answer
Record allowanceDo prospects, archived members, branches and multiple memberships count towards the limit?
MigrationWho maps and cleans the data? What happens to existing member numbers, duplicates, balances and history?
ApprovalsCan a branch prepare a case while a different central reviewer approves it?
PaymentsWhich account receives member fees? What platform, processor, refund and recurring-payment charges apply?
ExitWhich records and history can you export, in what format, and what happens after cancellation?

Use the same fictional records with every supplier. A completed import and renewal case tells you more than a long checklist of feature names.
